The AceFlex Solar Guide

Know your solar equipment.

Understand the essentials, compare key specifications, and know what to check before you buy solar panels, inverters, and batteries.

01 / SOLAR BASICS

How the main components work together

A solar panel generates direct current (DC) electricity. An inverter converts DC to alternating current (AC) for household use. A compatible battery system stores energy for later.

Solar panels

Convert sunlight into electricity. Compare rated power alongside dimensions, electrical specifications, and warranty terms.

Shop solar panels

Inverters

Convert electricity and manage its flow. The right choice depends on the system design and the equipment connected to it.

Shop inverters

Batteries

Store energy for later use. Compare usable capacity and power output, and check the manufacturer’s compatibility requirements.

Shop batteries

Equipment is one part of the project. Mounting, wiring, protection, controls, and installation requirements also matter. AceFlex is an online equipment retailer. Have your installer confirm the complete equipment list and system design before ordering.

02 / SOLAR PANELS

Compare more than wattage

Rated power is a useful starting point. Read the exact model’s datasheet and check the following with your installer.

  • Power and size: compare rated watts, panel dimensions, and weight against the space and mounting layout available.
  • Electrical specifications: confirm voltage and current limits against the inverter or microinverter requirements.
  • Mounting: check that the selected mounting hardware is suitable for the module and installation location.
  • Warranty: review product coverage and performance warranty terms separately.
  • Order quantity: check the minimum online order quantity shown on the product page before ordering.

03 / INVERTERS

Choose for your system design

String inverters serve groups of panels. Microinverters operate at the module level. Battery integration and backup depend on the specific equipment and configuration.

What to check when comparing inverters
TypeWhat to confirm before ordering
String inverterArray layout, input voltage and current, electrical service, and monitoring requirements.
MicroinverterExact panel compatibility, required cables, communications hardware, and system accessories.
Hybrid / battery-ready inverterSupported battery models, required controls, and whether the intended configuration supports backup.

Buying for an existing system? Match the exact model numbers and manufacturer documentation. A shared brand name alone does not establish compatibility.

04 / BATTERY STORAGE

Capacity, power, and compatibility

Compare usable energy capacity in kilowatt-hours (kWh) and power output in kilowatts (kW). Capacity describes energy stored; power describes the rate at which it can be delivered.

  • Usable capacity: check usable energy, rather than relying only on nominal capacity.
  • Power output: review continuous output and any short-duration output rating against the loads you intend to supply.
  • Compatibility: verify the exact inverter, battery, controls, and accessory requirements.
  • Installation conditions: check the manufacturer’s location and operating requirements.
  • Warranty: read the coverage period, operating conditions, and applicable capacity or throughput limits.

Need power during an outage? A battery alone does not establish backup capability. Confirm that the complete system supports operation during an outage and includes the necessary control and isolation equipment.

05 / BEFORE YOU BUY

Your equipment buying checklist

A few checks before checkout can help you order the right products and avoid missing accessories.

  1. Confirm the exact model. Check the manufacturer part number, specifications, and what is included. Similar product names can refer to different versions.
  2. Verify the complete combination. Have your installer confirm panel, inverter, battery, and control compatibility using current manufacturer documentation.
  3. Check required accessories. Identify cables, connectors, communications equipment, mounting parts, and controls that must be ordered separately.
  4. Review quantities and totals. Check whether the price is per unit or per package, the minimum online order quantity, and the cart total. Need fewer panels? Ask us for a quote before ordering.
  5. Confirm delivery details. Review the shipping policy and checkout information. Contact us if timing or delivery access is important for your project, and include your delivery ZIP code.
  6. Read returns and warranty terms. Review the store’s returns policy and the manufacturer’s product-specific warranty before purchase.

Keep this information ready: product model, quantity needed, delivery ZIP code, and model numbers of any existing equipment. Include your required delivery date if your project has a deadline.

06 / BUYING & DELIVERY FAQ

Common ordering questions

Is AceFlex an installer or an online retailer?

AceFlex LLC is an online retailer of solar equipment. We can assist with product information and order questions. For project planning, installation, and confirmation of system suitability, work with your installer.

Can I order fewer panels than the minimum quantity?

Smaller quantities may be available on request. Contact us with the product model, quantity needed, and delivery ZIP code for an availability and shipping quote. The minimum shown on the product page applies to direct online orders.

How do I calculate the cost of a minimum order?

If a product is priced per panel, multiply that price by the minimum order quantity. For example, a minimum of five panels means purchasing at least five panels. Check the cart and checkout for the product total, shipping charges, and any applicable tax.

How do I check whether components are compatible?

Use the exact model numbers and current manufacturer documentation. Ask your installer to confirm the complete combination. If you need a product specification or document, contact our team before ordering.

Where can I find shipping information?

Review our Shipping & Delivery policy. For questions about a specific product, delivery location, or order quantity, send us the model, quantity, and delivery ZIP code.

What should I check about returns and warranties?

Read our Returns Policy before ordering and check the manufacturer’s warranty terms for the exact product. Returns and manufacturer warranty coverage have different conditions.

07 / SOLAR GLOSSARY

Solar terms, in plain English

A quick reference for the terms you will see in product listings and datasheets.

PV

Short for photovoltaic: technology that converts sunlight into electricity. A PV module is a solar panel.

DC & AC

Direct current and alternating current. Solar panels generate DC; an inverter converts it to AC for household use.

W & kW

Watts and kilowatts measure power. One kilowatt equals 1,000 watts. Panel ratings describe power under specified test conditions, not guaranteed output at all times.

kWh

Kilowatt-hours measure energy. A constant 1 kW used for one hour equals 1 kWh. Battery capacity is commonly expressed in kWh.

MPPT

Maximum power point tracking. A control function that adjusts the operating point of a solar input to help capture available power as conditions change.

Usable capacity

The portion of a battery’s stored energy available for use under specified conditions. Check this separately from nominal or total capacity.

Continuous power

The output a device is rated to supply on an ongoing basis under specified conditions. A short-duration peak rating describes a different capability.

AC coupling

A system arrangement in which solar generation and battery storage connect on the AC side through their respective power-conversion equipment.

DC coupling

A system arrangement in which solar generation and battery storage connect on the DC side before conversion to AC. Exact equipment requirements vary.

Grid-tied

A system connected to the utility grid. Grid connection alone does not establish backup capability during an outage.

Backup capability

The ability of a suitably configured system to supply selected loads during an outage. It depends on the complete equipment combination and installation.

Minimum order quantity

The smallest quantity available for direct online purchase of a product. Smaller panel quantities may be available on request.
